Real Madrid legend, Cristiano Ronaldohas said he remains at
the peak of his powers and says he intends to keep playing until he is
forty-one.
The 33-year-old Portuguese enters Saturday’s Champions League final looking for a fifth European crown.
He is also the leading scorer in the competition with 15 goals.
Ronaldo said he is 23-year-old biologically, adding that he is not slowing down any time soon.
He told reporters, “Right now I have a biological age of
23. I’ve still got a long time left, I can keep playing until I’m 41.
I’m feeling good, happy, I can’t complain.
“We are playing another final on Saturday and the fans are behind Cristiano.”
Ronaldo would be the first man to score in four European Cup finals should he hit the net against Liverpool on Saturday.
The Portugal captain also spoke on the rumoured arrival of
another heavyweight striker at the club, saying, “I’ve been here for
eight years and people always say 50 players are coming here but in the
end no one comes.
“In September people think lots of players are going to come but the ones who take us to finals are always the same ones.
“The best players are already at Madrid. Bale, Benzema, [Lucas] Vazquez, [Marco] Asensio. They are all here.”
